For the Love of Folk

For a family-friendly 'Night-Out', we present the intriguing musical styling of STATIC TREES, a talented and rapidly rising young folk duo from Gettysburg, PA.
Our next event is scheduled for January 22nd and will showcase a Teenage Folk Duo of great talent and vision from Gettysburg PA.  These two young artists have captured the essence and feeling of a generation and present a show in which teens and parents alike delight.

They will be performing at Oliver's Carriage House, 5410 Leaf Treader Way, Columbia, MD on January 22nd, 2011; 7 - 9 PM.

The Static Trees are:
Nikki Barber: Vocals, Guitar, Ukelele, Tambourine and Other Percussion
Dylan Whitlow: Vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Piano, Mandolin, Harmonica, Bass

Early in 2010, they decided to start recording some of the songs that they had previously written and played for each other. Their retro-style of folk music makes them unique in today's contemporary music culture. They list their influences as Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Simon and Garfunkel, and Janis Joplin.

Despite being an-up-and-coming band, they have over fifty songs in their repertoire, showcased in their suite of albums: Ideas In Reverb, What Kind of Evil I Am, and 3 Acres of Logic.
The Static Trees are bound by a passion for music, art, and most of all, love.
